A dust blower is a small device that is very popular for keeping
dust out of electronic equipment. Some things that are commonly cleaned with a dust blower include circuit boards,
computer keyboards, calculators, camera lenses, film, or anything else that is too sensitive to clean with a cloth
or dangerous chemicals.
Dust blowers can be large, expensive, and sophisticated....or they
can be small, easy to use, and incredibly simple. Which you buy really depends on what you are going to be doing
with it. If you are going to be using it professionally to clean a lot of different things, then you are probably
going to want to buy one that is at least big enough to be electronically powered.
You can buy small manual dust blowers that you pump by hand,
but these do not create enough air for some situations. They are useful for very small tasks, just to have on hand
when the need arises.
However, if you know that you are going to be using it a lot, or
if you know that you are going to need to do especially large jobs where there will be a lot of dust, then you are
going to be way more ahead of the game if you buy an electric dust blower.
For more industrial purposes, some dust collector blowers hook
directly to an air compressor. If you have especially big jobs to do, then these are the kinds that you will want
to get. They are nice because they will not run out of batteries, and they also do not need to be plugged into
anything.
You simply plug them into the air compressor, build up the
pressure, and go for it. They will handle even the toughest jobs, especially if you have an air compressor that can
build up a lot of pressure. On these types of dust blowers, the more pressure you have, the more powerful the air
flow will be.
If you need something a bit smaller, you can always go with
a battery powered computer dust blower, some of which come in a combined vacuum/blower unit. These might be
smaller, but they make up for it on the small jobs with their portability. You can take a battery powered dust
blower anywhere with you, and you will have the airflow power you need to take dust out of even the most confined
spaces of your computer electronics, camera equipment, or jewelry.
If you are going to look for a battery powered dust blower,
however, it might be a good idea to get one that takes any battery size that is AA or bigger. Anything smaller is
not going to really give you enough air current to make it worth it, unless you are really focused on cleaning dust
out of very, very small electronic devices.
There are many, many options of dust blowers in the marketplace,
even including dust blowers that come in a type of compressed air can, a picture of which we have highlighted on this site. Also, many dust blowers
come in camera or watch cleaning kits.
No matter how you look at it, a dust blower is an essential piece
of gear for many tasks. You may not use it everyday, but when you do need it, it is an awfully nice piece of
equipment to have. So get yourself a dust blower today, and get rid of all that dust! We included some great
options at the top of this page, in association with Amazon. Have a look!
